I'm Back!

I'm finally back!  I am so grateful to have a laptop again and saw just how much I rely on it.  It was good to go without it for a while and now have it and appreciate it much more.  The things that were broken in my life for a while are back to normal.  Starting with the laptop and our house!  Our house is finally done and we are enjoying having a cozy place again.  I will post pictures soon.  Adding to all the drama with the house, I found out I was pregnant less than a week after we discovered our water damage!  We were so thrilled but at the same time I was a little nervous to see how my 1st trimester would go with our house under construction but God gave us another trial to get my attention off of that.  A week after we found out that we were pregnant I had some complications and we assumed I was having a miscarriage.  By the end of the week after some blood work and an ultrasound it was confirmed that I was still pregnant but there was something next to the baby.  My doctor said it was either a 2nd baby that didn't make it or a blood clot.  Either way she informed us that I was at a high risk for a miscarriage.  So we prayed and had other pray for us that we would ask God to save this baby and use them in a mighty way but more than that we prayed that we would submit to God's will, whatever it was for this baby.  In God's perfect plan, we had another ultrasound appointment a week ago and whatever was there that could have harmed the baby is gone.  It absorbed like my doctor hoped it would.  So right now we have a healthy growing baby and I am almost done with my 1st trimester!!!  We are now trying to figure out what life will be like come the end of October with a 16 month old and a newborn.  I know God has a lot to teach us:)

I also have not stopped reading the Bible in case anyone was wondering:)  I just wasn't able to blog about it and I really missed that.  I know it is more helpful to me than to anyone else.

Today I read from 2 Peter 1:8-For if these qualities (virtue, knowledge, self-control, steadfastness, godliness, brotherly affection, and love) are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

This was so good to read because I fear being ineffective or unfruitful.  I don't want to waste my life.  It is good to see the qualities that I need to be striving after for God's glory.
