Dress Up Drew

I left the room for a second and came back to find this.  Poor Drew Drew I think this is just the first of many dress up Drew incidents he will find himself in.

Our Front Yard Makeover

Ever since we moved into our home over a year ago we have wanted to do something to help out the front and back yard.  I keep thinking I need to sign up for one of those shows where they will come and completely redo it.  Well I have not found the time to even sign up for one of those shows!  Thankfully the Lord has blessed us with friends that are willing to help and know a thing or two about landscaping.  Here are the before pictures and our gracious friends working on laying the new grass.  I'll get some after pictures on here soon.  We still need to lay some more bark but for the most part it is done and looks SO much better!  Now if we could just do something about our pink house:)

This Week with SJ

SJ had a fun week filled with playing with Drew (trying to brush his hair), coloring, playing with play-doh, and hanging out in the backyard.  She's keeping busy!

Easter

Well I really meant to get better pictures of the kids but it just did not happen.  Next year I will have to plan better.  With two kids under the age of 2 it is a challenge to get any pictures at all!

I am finally sitting down for the evening after cooking and cleaning for Easter tomorrow.  As I was working I was thinking about special Easter memories.  There's something about getting older that makes you reminisce more and more.  I was remembering when I was young and we would always have our Easter outfit complete with gloves and a hat.  That must have been the southern way of doing things.  My mom was always thoughtful about giving us an Easter basket every year which always included a cadbury egg (because they are the best thing ever!)  Then I was thinking about the Easter Andrew and I spent together when we were dating.  It was his first time to come to my home in Merced and at the end of the trip he asked my dad if he could marry me.  It is fun thinking about these special memories and I can't wait to make special memories with Sadie Jane and Drew.  I want to make sure we teach them why Easter is such a celebration and continue to point them to their need for a Savior.

Sadie & Drew

I just took this picture of Drew now that he is loving his new toy and I thought this looks strangely familiar.  I then realized I had taken a picture of Sadie Jane in the same spot when we first moved in.  It is fun to compare the pictures.  Drew is 5 months old and SJ was about 6 months.  Although they look alike I think Drew is changing and has his own look.  We are so blessed to have both of them!
