The Costello's Visit

Our friends, the Costello family, are moving.  We have been so blessed to have them only 3 hours from us these past 3 years.  We got to spend one last visit with them before their move.  SJ and Liam became good buddies and Drew and Ivan didn't think much of each other but I am sure they will later.  It was so fun to have a house full of little ones and we treasured the time with our sweet friends.

Bathroom Makeover

We finally finished the kids' bathroom before we want on vacation.  Well we have mostly finished as yo see the picture with a big hole still in the wall.  That's another little project that I think might take 4 months to do. Oh well, I don't mind being distracted by our cute kids!

Andrew's Birthday

I realize my writing on this blog is never very good because I always have like 5 seconds to finish a blog entry!  I am just glad I get pictures up and if I can say anything along the way, even better!!!  Andrew had a birthday a few weeks ago and we tried to make the most of it.  I took him away for the day for a birthday date a few days before the big day.  We borrowed a kayak and went out on our lake.  It was SO much fun!  I love our lake and can't believe it took us this long to do this.

We started off the day with donuts as any good birthday celebration should start.  We then ended with the "loaf of love" as Andrew calls it.  He requested meatloaf for his birthday and knows I am not a huge fan of the stuff so he was appreciative of my efforts.  SJ looks a little scared of the loaf as well:)

More Beach Pics

This was my attempt to get a good 2 year old picture of SJ to frame.  It's almost impossible to get a good picture of her these days.  As soon as you pull out the camera she turns her head away.  Well at least I tried...

Family Summer Vacation, Part 2

We headed toward the coast and Drew made it okay.  We were not quite ready for the cold but it was a nice change and we enjoyed fires in the fire place every night.  We got to have some good family time and make some memories.  It seems like when your kids are little vacations are times to mark the ages that they are and enjoy the stages they are in.  It was fun to see SJ get so excited to be at the beach.  She just loved standing by the water and holding her hands up high.  Drew loved crawling all around in the sand and I am sure he took a few mouthfuls of it when I was not looking.  It was not a relaxing time but it was a memorable time.
