Our 1st Valentine's Day

I am a little late on this but we had a fun 1st Valentine's Day. Andrew took me out to dinner and gave me his gift. He was able to get us 2 nights in April at Hume Lake. I was very excited because I have been wanting to get away for a while now. We are going to "rough it" in our cabin at Hume Lake and we can't wait!

I got him his favorite all time game--Balderdash. Just to warn any of you that live nearby, you will probably be playing this game some time soon. I will not be surprised if he puts it in the car and we carry it around for those-just in case incidents.

Beef--it's whats for dinner

For those of you wondering--what does Kim cook? I thought I would reassure you that I have cooked beef three times now in the past 5 months of our marriage. I know, I need to work on it but here's a little look at my last attempt.

Mr. & Mrs. Skifter

On February 3rd we were able to be in a very special wedding. Erin is one of my best friends and Lance is a dear friend and old roommate of Andrew's. We were more than excited to be in their wedding and to rejoice in the Lord's sovereignty. Here are a few highlights:

Erin's Bachelorette Party--we bowled it up

This was a family event. Both the Callaways and the Nelsons were a part of the big day.

Us all dressed up.

There was a little crying involved...

Our First Year So Far

So far we were able to celebrate our marriage by going to Hawaii together in September. We are both hoping that God will call us to Hawaii. We didn't want to leave, but were thankful for the time we got there.

After the honeymoon we slowly settled into our apartment. This seemed impossible at times between work, ministry, friends, family, and finding time to spend with each other but we managed to get it all away.
Then one of my best friends, Steph, got married on November 11th (wedding #2). This was a true answer to prayer because we were roommates and best friends and always hoped to get married around the same time.

Then the holidays came and we were able to celebrate both Thanksgiving and Christmas with both families. It was fun to have 2 of everything!

That's the update for now, but I am sure there will be more to come...
